Actors join govt’s drive against virus

LAHORE: Artistes such as Hareem Farooq, Imran Abbas, Yasir Nawaz and Ali Rehman have extended their cooperation to the Punjab government in creating awareness on coronavirus in its campaign ‘Salute Salam’.

The artistes, through video messages on social media, are creating awareness on the virus and informing people how and when to take what safety measures to avoid contact with it.

The Punjab government has requested many prominent film and TV artistes to be part of its awareness campaign.

In his massage, actor Imran Abbas has advised people that for the time being they should avoid handshake. Similarly, Yasir Nawaz suggests people should avoid crowded places to avert the virus. Ali Rehman says that as long as coronavirus threat was around, people should greet each other from a distance.

Hareem Farooq, in her message says people should wash their hands with soap frequestly.

The artistes say the war against the virus could be won by adopting safety measures.
