Two Indian states have ordered the closure of public buildings, malls, cinemas and bars in several major cities, with Mumbai and Bengaluru subject to differing restrictions, after the country reported its first death from the coronavirus, according to Reuters.

A spokeswoman for Karanataka chief minister B.S. Yedyurappa said malls, cinemas, bars and nightclubs will be shut across the state for one week beginning from tomorrow.
Malls, gyms, cinemas, theatres and swimming pools will be closed in five major cities of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
