The Sindh High Court (SHC) chief justice has instructed employees to register their attendance through biometric facial recognition system instead of using thumb impressions in order to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The high court has also directed staff to keep the windows and ventilators of courtrooms and offices open and to carry out "proper fumigation" of the premises. In addition, only people whose attendance is required by the court would be allowed to enter the courtrooms.
The SHC registrar has also written to provincial secretaries of health and home ministries to ensure that jails across Sindh are fumigated and sterilised.
