LUMS extends mid-semester break

Published March 13, 2020

The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has extended its mid-semester break with classes now resuming on April 7, either online or on campus.

In an email to the LUMS community, the university said that the break would begin as planned on March 16.

"We are exploring online and other alternatives for both learning and assessment," the university said, adding that the extended break would give them time to plan for handling the coronavirus pandemic.

Additionally, the varsity said that 21 LUMS students recently returning from Turkey after attending a Model UN conference had been tested for the virus as a precaution and had so far tested negative.
