KARACHI, Aug 26: Opener Hamzaul Hassan’s fluent 72 and Tabish Nawab’s four wickets helped Zone-I Whites to beat Zone-II Green on better run rate in the semifinal of the KCCA Under-17 Inter-zonal tournament on Thursday at TMC ground. The two teams had scored 202 runs.

Batting first Zone-I Whites scored 202 for seven wickets. Zone-II Green were bowled out for 202 in 49.5 overs although Amar Hasan (69) and Ali Meharf (59) struck half centuries.

The winners will now meet Zone-II Whites in the final to be played on Aug 30 at the KCCA Stadium.

Hamzaul Hassan struck five boundaries while Tabish gave away 54 runs for his four-wicket haul.
