309,647 cusecs water released

ISLAMABAD, Aug 26: The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Friday released 309,647 cusecs water from various rim stations. Overall water inflow recorded at various reservoirs was 315,852 cusecs.

Water level at Tarbela Dam was recorded at 1,550 feet, 181 feet higher than the dead level of 1,369 feet. Water inflow at the dam was recorded at 180,100 cusecs, while the outflow was also 180,100 cusecs.

Water level at Mangla Dam was recorded at 1,201.3 feet, 161 feet higher than the dead level of 1,040 feet. Water inflow at the dam was recorded at 26,205 cusecs against the outflow of 20,000 cusecs.

The contribution of Kabul and Chenab rivers was 39,700 and 69,847 cusecs, respectively.—APP
