Pakistan's latest coronavirus case had arrived in the country from Iran along with his mother on February 25, Gilgit Baltistan focal person on coronavirus Dr Shah Zamaan said.

He arrived in Skardu on March 4 and had symptoms of the coronavirus on March 6 after which he was shifted to an isolation ward.

His medical report was sent to an Islamabad laboratory where it was confirmed as positive on March 7.

Additionally, Zaman said that the samples of the 14-year-old's family members have also been sent for confirmation.
