Lahore Qalandars stun the Kings with spectacular 8-wicket win in PSL contest

Lahore Qalandars collected on Sunday their third victory of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 season as they defeated the Karachi Kings by eight wickets at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.
The Qalandars conveniently chased the 188-run target, scoring 190 runs for the loss of just two wickets with five balls to spare. Ben Dunk's 99-run knock off 40 balls was the highlight of the evening.
The winners got off to a poor start while chasing the 188-run target set by the Kings and lost opener Fakhar Zaman in the first over on a delivery by Mohammad Amir.
Sohail Akhtar, who remained not out with 68 off 46 balls, was one of the stars of today's match as he first built a 48-run partnership with Mohammad Hafeez (16). After Hafeez walked off in the ninth over, Akhtar built a 140-run stand with Dunk.
With an impressive knock of 80 runs off 48 balls, Alex Hales was the top scorer for Karachi Kings.

It is sad that some of the so called expert sports analyst, such as Shoaib Akthur, continue to give their expertise after the match is over. Anybody can do that. The fact that Ben Dunk is a dangerous player should have been mentioned during analysis of the team or at least before the match, saying that Karachi Kings should have watched out for Ben Dunk after he has performed anyone can do. Expectations from Sports Analyst is they talk about players and teams well before the match. Yes some predictions can be wrong but as long as they put their foot on their ground and back it by data it is okay to be wrong. I am just tired of hearing sports analyst give ordinary analysis before and after the match.

you've got to have an Aussie in your team. They are natural leaders. I remember similar one-sided show of immense focus-to-lead-his-side-to-victory and eventually delivering a cracking, fiery victory against almost insurmountable looking odds in a match between Pakistan 11 and probably world 11. It was Micheal Bevan, who was otherwise not very well known for power hitting. We have witnessed similar stuff from Watson in PSL editions and now we are so fortunate to witness Dunk doing it for Qalandars...Salute to Cricket Australia!!!

While the matches in PSL have generally been exciting to watch, the level of batting talent wrt 'pinch hitting' is not there. There is not a single player in the domestic first class cricket who can replicate what Ben Dunk did to Karachi team. This is a serious flaw in our local structure and needs to be immediately addressed. The currently available pinch hitters such as Asif Ali, etc. are not good enough for international cricket. The flaw gets exacerbated if you consider that most of the international stars in the PSL are over 30+ in age and not good enough to be part of their own countries T20 teams, with exception of couple of players.

@Chirag Patel, did u not watch legends vs legends matches? Just look at crowd there when sachin schwag. Lara, best, chanderpual and UV were playing. Also, yesterday I saw Chaminda vas, kaluvitrna, heath, Bret and shen Lee, hodge, haddin playing after long time.
