CHAKWAL: A woman was robbed of jewellery in Faisal Colony on Sunday.

The incident was captured by CCTV cameras.

The video showed four robbers on two motorbikes chasing a rickshaw in broad daylight. One of them fired in the air while others dragged out a woman and forcibly removed three gold bangles from her wrist.

The faces of all the four robbers were covered, however, according to police the number plates of their bikes can be seen in the video.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s brother and started efforts to trace the culprits.

A few days ago, a gang of four robbers stormed into the house of Hafiz Mazhar.

“The robbers entered my house at 8am. However, I made hue and cry which attracted neighbours,” Hafiz Mazhar told Dawn. He added that the robbers could not loot anything and fled away.

When contacted, City Police Officer Mansoor Mazhar said efforts were underway to trace the robbers.
