Salman excels

KARACHI, Aug 23: Brilliant all-round performance by the Man-of-the-Match, Salman Butt, helped ABN AMRO Bank beat Roche Pakistan by 33 runs in the 5th AKU cricket tournament on Tuesday at AKU Sports Center ground.

Salman first played a dashing innings of 42 and later grabbed three wickets for 28 runs to play vital role in banker’s victory.

Batting first, the winners scored 205 runs losing six wickets in allotted 25 overs.

Besides Salman, Sheraz Ahmed (44) and Zahid Raja (28) batted well. M Asif (3-33) was the most successful bowler for the losers. Bankers restricted their opponents to 172.
