Mismanagement mars final

LAHORE, Aug 23: Mismanagement by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) marred the first day of the National school cricket final between Ibrahim Alibhai School, Karachi Region and Government High School Nanakpura, Peshawar Region at the Qadhafi Stadium on Tuesday.

The boys had to wait for lunch to be served but it did not come and when it did come at 12.35 the time had run out and they had to leave to resume play.

The National Cricket Academy has fallen short of room as the senior cricketers, South African and Pakistan Academy teams are also staying there.

The seniors are attending a conditioning camp while the South African and Pakistan Academy are there to start a One-day match series at Bagh-i-Jinnah on Wednesday.

Four Karachi school boys have to share a room while Peshawar Region school is staying at a local hotel and they have been provided with only one van which is not enough to carry their equipment.
