PML-N to back PPP nominee

LAHORE, Aug 23: The PML-N has told the PPP, its ally in the ARD, that it will support anybody to be nominated by the latter for the Lahore district nazim. It is said that Lahore PML-N President Haji Hanif phoned his PPP counterpart Haji Azizur Rehman Chan to say that the PML-N would support the PPP’s candidate. The PPP has not finalized its candidate for the slot, although the ruling PML has nominated Mian Amer Mehmud.
