KARACHI, Aug 22: The deadline for submission of admission forms for first year classes in the city government colleges has once again been extended for five days. A spokesman for the government said that the latest extension up to Aug 27 had been granted by the caretaker and DCO of the City District Government Fazalur Rehman on Monday.

The date has been extended to help the students and no more extension in the last date would be granted, added the spokesman. A number of students had approached to authorities for reopening of dates on Monday. Some of the students also agitated at the education offices of the government, said a source.

The education department of the city government, which had stopped receiving applications for admissions trough banks on Aug 20, was to issue its first placement list for admission in the case of Home Economics faculty on Aug 22, said another source.
