QUETTA: A meeting presided over by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Friday discussed the Public Sector Development Progarmme (PSDP) for the next financial year.

The additional chief secretary for planning and development, Abdul Rehman Buzdar, informed the meeting about details of the proposed PSDP.

He said during the current financial year, 1,607 development schemes of the PSDP would be completed. Out of 1,607 development schemes of the current year’s PSDP, 1,255 are new while 352 schemes are ongoing projects. Funds for all schemes had been allocated and they would be completed on their time, he added.

CM Alyani directed officials concerned to pay special attention to development schemes for 2020-21 and design them in a way that they could boost economic activities in the province.

During the next financial year work on 316 ongoing development projects will continue and 518 new projects will be completed during the current year.

The chief minister said funds would be provided for timely completion of all ongoing development projects in the province.
