Freedom Cup gets under way

ISLAMABAD, Aug 21: All the seeded players moved into the second round of the 4th Freedom Cup junior tennis championships which got under way at PTF Tennis Complex on Sunday.

A total of 18 matches were decided on the opening day.

The event organized by Islamabad Tennis Association features junior boys’ U-17, boys’ U-13 and girls’ U-17.

Country’s top junior players including Tanveer Ashiq, Omer Babar, Yasir Khan, Khurram Nazir, Ahmed M Aslam and Usman Ijaz will be seen in action among a total of 50 players participating in the tournament.
