LAHORE: Mahoor Shahzad and Palwasha Bashir combined to win the women’s doubles title while Zunan Javed and Farzana Ali lifted the mixed doubles crown during the 57th National Badminton Championship at the Wapda Sports Complex here on Thursday.

Mahoor and Palwasha overcame Ghazala Siddique and Zubaira Islam 21-11, 10-21, 21-3 while Zunan and Farzana trounced Ghazala and Ali Larosh 21-12, 22-20.

Ghazala had some joy on the day, reaching the women’s singles final where she will meet Mahoor. The men’s singles final will be contested by Murad Ali and Hafiz Irfan Saeed.
