PESHAWAR, Aug 20: Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company Chief Executive Officer Saeed Khan has asked the officials concerned to speed up recovery of outstanding arrears of the company.

He was speaking at a briefing given by Tesco Circle Peshawar Manager Operation Nek Mohammad here on Friday.

Deputy Managers from Peshawar, Hangu, Bannu and Tank were also present at the meeting.

Mr Khan expressed concern over poor recovery of the company and directed the manager and deputy managers operation to take practical steps to achieve the set targets.

He asked Tesco to follow the orders of the provincial governor to disconnect all illegal connections.

In reply to a question about the improvement in the power supply system of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (Fata) which had been announced by the NWFP governor, he said, proper steps would be taken in this regard after consulting the political administration.

TRANSPORT PLAN: The government has launched the Pakistan Transport Plan Study in collaboration with the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) with its first survey from the NWFP, says APP.
