KARACHI: Emergency landing

KARACHI, Jan 16: A PIA flight PK-712 from Karachi to New York via Manchester was allowed to land back at Quaid-i-Azam International Airport here after the pilot received indication of a fault after take-off.

The pilot informed the Tower about the warning indication and returned after the Control Tower allowed the landing after making necessary safety arrangements at the runway.

On landing, the aircraft was put to check and it was allowed to proceed to its destination after the fault was removed.

The Boeing 747 was carrying 24 passengers in Club Class and 268 in the Economy Class.—APP
