Nadra praised

Published January 23, 2020

I HAD to visit the Clifton office of the National Database and Registration Authority for a replacement of my CNIC which had become disfigured. Although I was dreading what lay in store for me, I came away pleasantly surprised.

The Nadra Clifton office was full of citizens when I arrived at the place. However, the staff’s behaviour put me at ease. I had to wait for about 20 minutes for my turn. Another eight to 10 minutes were spent in processing my request. The extremely courteous and friendly staff made the wait pleasant. I was told my new card would arrive in a week.

Over the next five days, I received three messages informing me about the status of my application. On the sixth day, I was informed that my card was ready for collection. I went to the office, and as I was the only visitor there and was looked after by an amiable and jovial officer. My second visit barely lasted a minute and I came away with a CNIC. Thank you, Nadra.

There is yet hope for this country.
