LAHORE, Aug 19: Middle-order batsman Shahid Yousaf was penalized while captain Hasan Raza and Nasir Jamshed were warned by referee Khateeb Rizwan for protesting a decision of the umpire on the first day of the second “Test” between Pakistan and South African Academies teams.

Shahid reacted to a decision of umpire Iftikhar Malik and kicked the ball angrily. Hasan Raza and Nasir Jamshed also join Shahid in making strong appeal to pressurise the umpire. Interestingly, the referee took action after the PCB chairman Shaharyar M Khan, who was watching the match, pointed it out. On it, the referee held a hearing and imposed a fine of Rs 8,000 on Shahid while issuing warning to Hasan and Nasir to avoid such attitude.
