KARACHI: MPhil, PhD degrees awarded

KARACHI, Aug 19: The University of Karachi’s Board of Advanced Studies Research (BASR) on Friday announced awarding nine PhD and three MPhil degrees. The awards were decided in a meeting held under the chairmanship of KU Vice-Chancellor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui on Aug 16.

According to a notification, PhD degree holders include Syed Muhammad Ashraf Gilani (Islamic Learning), Ziaullah (Chemistry HEJ), Seema Jilani (Environmental Studies), Ghulam Maharvi (Chemistry HEJ), Naveen Mukhtar (Chemistry HEJ), Syed Tariq Ali (Chemistry HEJ), Humaira Naz (Chemistry HEJ), Hamida Nusrat (Microbiology) and Krishna Parsad Devkota (Chemistry HEJ).

While MPhil degrees were awarded to Rizwanul Haq (Pharmacology), Numan Ahmed (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) and Zaid Ahmed (Microbiology).—PPI
