KARACHI, Aug 19: The first placement list in regard to admissions to first year classes of city government colleges will be released on Aug 22, said a senior official in the City government’s education department on Friday.

EDO Higher Education Prof M Rais Alvi, who is also the chairman of the admission committee for colleges, said efforts were being made to release the first list pertaining to Home Economics group. Lists of other groups would be released within 15 days.

He further said that Aug 20, as announced earlier, was the last date for submission of admission forms and no further extension would be given for purchase and submission of admission forms.

It was learnt that over 82,000 forms have been sold through banks for admission to pre-medical, pre-engineering, home economics, commerce, humanities and science general since Aug 1. According to a decision of the Sindh Education Department teaching for first year classes will begin on Sept 1.
