KARACHI, Aug 19: Seven ships carrying containers and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where four ships, Kota Wangsa, Golden Express, PAC Antilia, and Y.M. Faha were berthed to unload and load containers after the departure of six.
The departing ships were led by Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Sun, Golden Express, Kota Wangsa, Blue Star and Pontoporos, while Guang Huamen, Kota Tabah, Eax Sanctity, Iran Shahryar, PAC Antlia and Lalazar due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 97,394 tons comprising 19,018 tons of export cargo including 3,972 tons of rice and 1,157 tons of cement and 78,376 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Swat, with 70,123 tons of crude oil, Iran Shahryar, Wan Hai-261, Wester Muehlen, Sinar Riau, Sagamore, with containers and Tilos, with railway engines.
