Indian stars for Super League

LAHORE, Aug 18: The Indian hockey captain Dilip Tirkey with five other team-mates will take part in the first Super League of Pakistan, to be held at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium, Karachi from Sept 8 to 18.

Viren Risquena, the vice-captain of the Indian team with two key forwards Gagan Ajit Singh, Arjun Halapa, penalty-corner specialist Sandeep Singh and goalkeeper D’Souza are other five players who will feature in the SL.

In all six teams will participate in the SL and each team will have one Indian player.

A spokesman of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said that its Indian counterpart had confirmed the availability of all the six players.
