SAY whatever one wants to say, the truth is that Pakistan is always willing to sleep with the devil since it is the devil that feeds the breadcrumbs to economically depressed Pakistan.

The last-minute abrupt decision by the government to withdraw from the Kuala Lumpur summit is the proof of this unfortunate reality.

The Muslim ummah is also an illusion. We, as people, would be far better off if we accepted the reality and learnt to live within our own means.

However, that would require strict austerity measures and ruling class has neither the courage nor the character to stand tall on the world stage.
