ISLAMABAD, Aug 15: Punjab’s Aqib Hanif and Alamzeb Jnr qualified for the under-19 semifinals of the Hashim Khan National Junior Squash Championship at the Roshan Khan Complex on Monday.

Playing intelligently and with great spirit, Aqib defeated Kashif Khan of Sindh 9-6, 9-4, 9-1 while Alamzeb knocked out Punjab’s M. Wasim 9-5, 9-7, 9-3.

Also advancing to the semifinals was Adil Atlas, a 9-0, 9-7, 10-9 winner against Sindh’s Mohammad Naeem and Bilal Zaman who beat Farzan Rashid 4-9, 9-7, 9-3, 9-6 in a hard-fought quarterfinal.
