Proclaimed offender killed

KOHAT, Aug 15: A proclaimed offender was killed and an accomplice of his captured by police after an encounter in Barh area on Sunday. Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Ishtiaq Marwat told journalists on Monday that police raided house after receiving a tip. The criminals were asked to surrender but they opened fire on police, which was returned, he said. Proclaimed offender Abdur Rashid was killed in the shootout and his injured accomplice Aurangzeb was arrested. —Correspondent
