KARACHI, Aug 13: An official complaint against Customs hockey team officials would be submitted to the tournament director for their misconduct during the semifinal against NBP, the umpire said on Saturday.

Mohsin Ali Khan said he would submit a written report to the tournament director Muhammad Shafique, complaining about the interference and conduct unbecoming of team manager Farhat Khan and coach Danish Kaleem.

“I will definitely submit my report about the misconduct and rude behavior shown by the Customs team officials. Being an umpire I can’t do anything when people enter into the field as it is the job of technical officials. But I can’t tolerate misconduct, interference and pressure from outside,” Mohsin told Dawn after the NPB-Customs semifinal.

The umpire said he had shown yellow card to Customs Asim Shafi for deliberately hooking the NBP player in the 25th minute.

“It was Customs manager (Farhat) who entered the field and created a scene asking why I booked Asim. I can’t tolerate this kind of attitude. I took the decision after the move was completed as I did not want to break the whole move,” he said.
