ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: President Pervez Musharraf has congratulated Indian President Abdul Kalam on the occasion of India’s independence day on August 15.

“On the anniversary of India’s independence, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you and the people of India our felicitations and warm greetings”, the president said in his message.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has also sent a separate message to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh.

“As the government and people of India celebrate the anniversary of their independence, I wish to convey on behalf of the government, and the people of Pakistan, and on my own behalf our warm greetings and felicitations”, the PM message said.—APP
