ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has expressed condolence over the assassination of Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar and condemned the act of terrorism.
In a message, addressed to Sri Lankan President Chandrika Bandaranike Kumaratunga, he said: “The tragic assassination of Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar has greatly shocked and saddened us.”
“We strongly condemn this act of terrorism,” he said and added that Mr Kadirgamar would be remembered for his great vision and sagacity.—APP
