SWABI, Aug 12: In all 489 polling stations would be set up in the Swabi district for the first phase of the local government elections on Aug 18. Official sources said that 236 polling stations for men and 203 for women would be set up at government schools and colleges. The rest would be open to both male and female voters, although there would be separate booths for them. The male staff appointed for the election duty would undergo a training programme at Government Degree College (boys) Swabi on Saturday.
In tehsil Chotta Lahor, the male election staff would be trained at Government Degree College and the female staff at Government Degree College for women on Aug 13 Aug 15, respectively.
