A press release issued on Friday said that a meeting of the association was held to discuss situation arising after the uncalled for actions by certain election officials in the city.

The meeting was told that principals and teachers of Government Degree College Orangi were being threatened by officials on the pretext that they were not reporting for election duties, while no letters in regard to duties had been issued to the teachers.

The meeting held with SPLA President Prof Riaz Ahsan in chair, urged the authorities to take notices of “insulting measures” by Pirabad Police Station and returning officer concerned for allegedly issuing warrants against teachers.
