KARACHI, Aug 12: An anti-terrorism court indicted on Friday two accused for kidnapping a nine-year old schoolboy for ransom. Judge Arshad Noor Khan of the ATC-3 fixed Saturday for recording the statement of prosecution witnesses after accused Mohammad Sheraz and Iqbal denied charges and pleaded “not guilty”.
The two accused have been charged with kidnapping Anis Ahmed in Gulberg on April 6.
According to prosecution the accused demanded Rs200,000 from victim’s father Nasfis Ahmed and received Rs.70,000 and a gold biscuit for his release.
The police later arrested them and recovered the ransom money and gold.
