TANDO JAM: Karachi U-18 and SST U-18 basketball teams are seen before the final with Deedar Khoso, Director Sports PAF Sargodhean Spirit School here on Sunday.

TANDO JAM: Karachi U-18 team led by Hassan Ali won the four-match basketball series 3-1 in style at SST Public School Rashidabad on Sunday.

Director Sports Deedar Hussain Khoso SST public school Rashidabad was the chief guest at the event. Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam, and Hyderabad district teams were the other participants of the event.

In the first match, SST Rashidabad Public School beat Karachi U-18 by 54-45.

In the second match, Karachi U-18 overcame SST Rashidabad Public School 59-54 while in third match, Karachi U-18 defeated SAU Tando Jam 54-51.

In fourth and last match of the series, Karachi U-18 defeated Hyderabad by a big margin of 62-51. Hamza Khawaja, Hasan Ali, Saad Salahuddin, Rafay Salahuddin and Shariq Suleman of Karachi team performed brilliantly in these matches while for SST Rashidabad, the main performers were Shaheer Ahmed, Abdul Rehman, Faizan Ahmed and Nazeer Hussain.

For SAU, Balaj, Javed and Bilal played well while for Hyderabad district the main performers were Saadullah Khan and Muhammad Saad.

Hamza Khawaja of K-18 team was declared best player of the tournament.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto basketball series will be played at SST Rashidabad Public School from Jan 3-5. This was announced by KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad Khan while speaking as chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony.
