KARACHI, Aug 12: Five ships including Malakand carrying 14,000 tons of sugar are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six vessels, Kota Tampan, APL Orchid, Kuo Hung, Kota Waris, and Dong He to unload and load containers, and Clio to offload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Global Progress, Hyundai Sprinter, APL Orchid, Elbe Oldendroff, Phoros and ACE-7, while Kota Mesra, Kuo Hung, Dong He, Kota Waris, Kota Tampan, Goldmar and Iran Sadr are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 77,372 tons comprising 14,101 tons of export cargo and 63,271 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Malakand, with 14,000 tons of sugar, Sagamore, Iran Sattari, with containers, Banglar Urmi, with jute bags delayed arrival and Irene, with general cargo.
