GUJRANWALA, Aug 11: Four people were killed and 17 injured when election rivals traded fire in union council 113, Ferozwala, on Thursday night. Police said an election meeting of Chaudhry Iqbal Bala’s daughter Sumera, a nazim candidate, was in progress when rival candidate Aslam Buttar’s gunmen opened fire.

As a result Chaudhry Mohammad Naeem, a former councillor, Chaudhry Mohammad Mansha and 10-year-old Ali Raza died on the spot. When Sumera’s supporters returned fire, Jameel alias Jeela from the Buttar group was killed.
