LAHORE, Aug 11: Raana Liaquat Ali Khan XI and Fatima Jinnah XI entered the final of the City Government Lahore Independence Day women’s hockey tournament on Thursday.

The solitary goal of the match by Zirwa helped Fatima XI beat Begum Salma Tassadaq Hussain XI 1-0.

Saadia Bashir also struck match-winner to help Raana Liaquat Ali Khan defeat Begum Shaukat Ali XI 1-0.

Meanwhile, in another women’s hockey match Allied Bank at the same venue Allama Iqbal XI and Quaid-i-Azam XI were held to 1-1 draw.

Hina scored a goal for Quaid-i-Azam XI in the 10th minute, while Sana restored parity for Allama Iqbal XI in the 13th minute through Saman.
