MONTREAL, Aug 11: Top seed Rafael Nadal of Spain eased to a 6-1 6-2 victory over Brazil’s Ricardo Mello in the second round of a rain-affected Montreal Masters on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old French Open champion delighted the crowd with his fist-thumping enthusiasm as he dominated his over-matched opponent to set up a third round encounter against Sebastien Grosjean.
