CHARSADDA: Bodies of two youth, who died due to gas leakage in Kalam area of Swat late on Tuesday night, were brought to their native areas here on Wednesday, where they would be laid to rest on Thursday (today).

According to locals, Mushtaq Ahmed of Bahlolah and Mujeebullah of Pla Dheri Merakhel, who were cousins, were working at Kalam Mataltan hydropower project as driver and office boy, respectively. On Tuesday night, gas accumulated in their room at a private hotel and they got suffocated.

Meanwhile, heavy rain coupled with hailstorm affected many areas of Tangi tehsil, including Mandani, Gandhri and Shakoor. According to locals, heavy rain and hailstones damaged standing crops, and also turned the weather chilly.
