LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 10: The senior vice-president of the Pakistan Muslim League, Dr Pir Mohammad Khalid Raza Zakori, has said the local government system has proved its creditability by enabling people to find ways to solve their longstanding problems at the grassroots level.

Speaking at a public gathering at Tajazai here on Sunday, Pir Zakori called upon the masses to elect only honest and pious as well as progressive and enlightened representatives in the upcoming local body’ polls.

He said that only the representatives within the people and having strong roots within the lower classes could bring about a change by removing the backwardness of Marwat area.

He said that the people had become fed up of the efforts being carried out in the political arena for the last 58 years as all such third-rate efforts could not prove helpful in redressing the masses’ problems.
