PESHAWAR, Jan 15: The Afghan Women Skill Development Corporation, a Peshawar-based NGO, distributed relief items among refugees and displaced people here on Tuesday.

A press release said that the NGO gave away 100kg flour, 35kg pulses, 15kg oil and 10kg sugar to each displaced family. A total of 1,185 individuals were facilitated.

The relief items, donated by the Australian government, cost Rs218, 419.

Though an interim government has been installed in the war-ravaged country, most of the refugee families are reluctant to go back home where few opportunities are available to attract jobseekers.
