HARIPUR: Four persons were injured when members of rival groups clashed over taking out an Eid Miladun Nabi procession in Muslim Abad village of Khanpur tehsil.

SHO Khanpur Ihjaz Khan said a Milad procession was on way to Kulali Sharif on its designated route, and when the participants reached near Masjid Siddique Akbar, some villagers from the rival sect attempted to stop them from chanting slogans which resulted in a clash.

The clash left four persons injured.

They were shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital, Khanpur.

The police registered a case and started investigations.

Meanwhile, different religious parties and groups took out Eid Miladun Nabi processions in Haripur city, Khalabat Township, Khanpur and Ghazi.
