KARACHI, Aug 8: The cleanliness drive continued here in the Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town on Sunday and garbage was removed and pesticides sprayed in the area to curb the growth of mosquitoes.

Gulshan Town Caretaker Faisal Ahmed Bukhari supervised the cleanliness work in UCs-9, 11 and 12.

He also met the residents, noted their complaints and issued directives for quick redressal of their problems.

The carpeting of roads has been completed in different parts of the Gulshan Town including PIB Colony, some blocks of Gulistan-i-Jauhar, CP Barar Society and KDA Scheme No.1.

Mr Bukhari, declaring emergency, directed all the concerned departments to work round the clock for ensuring necessary facilities to the people.
