KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan Museum and Art Gallery was illuminated with pink colour on Monday to raise awareness about breast cancer, says a press release. Governor Dr Reza Baqir pressed the button to switch on the pink lights.

Dr Baqir acknowledged Pink Ribbon Pakistan’s efforts in raising awareness regarding this dangerous disease. Talking to the media, he said, “it is alarming that the rate of breast cancer is quite high in Pakistan”.

He said that in October every year SBP in collaboration with renowned hospitals conducts lectures on breast cancer awareness. He emphasised the importance of cooperation of all stakeholders to fight breast cancer.

PTCL campaign

Pakistan Telecommuni­cation Company Limited (PTCL) has concluded its month-long campaign on breast cancer awareness in the month of October. The month-long digital campaign was undertaken to create awareness in not only female employees but all staff members at the organisation.

PTCL’s virtual club for its female employees, The Pink Club, organised an event to celebrate Pinktober,

with fun-filled games and kno­­wl­­e­dge-based activities at PTCL HQs.
