KARACHI, Aug 6: Tabish Nawab, a promising off-spinner, grabbed seven wickets and Hafiz Asad hammered a brilliant hundred to help Zone-I Whites defeat Zone-IV Blues by 65 runs in the KCCA Under-17 Inter-zonal Cricket Championship match at the Student Sports Ground on Friday.

Asad smashed 12 boundaries in his 128 as Zone-I Whites raced to 252 for five in 50 overs. Mudassar Manzoor picked up four for 72. Zone-IV Blues, in reply, were restricted to 187 for nine in 50 overs. Tabish finished with excellent figures of seven for 65.

For the losers, Khurram Razzaq made a defiant 54 with five hits to the fence. In the other match at the TMC Ground, Zone-III Whites thrashed Zone-VI Blues by 10 wickets with Bilal Mohiuddin taking four for 31 and Rameez Aziz three for two.
