KARACHI, Aug 6: Judicial Magistrate, East, Shazia Asif on Saturday remanded Shahid Alam Alias Guddu Bihari, former Orangi Town nazim, in the custody of the Brigade police till Aug 11 in an attempt to murder case.

Shahid Alam was accused of attacking one Ghulam Qadir in the jurisdiction of Brigade police station.

According to remand request, he was arrested by the police during patrolling near the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam on Friday. Earlier, the former nazim was bailed out in 22 cases by different courts of law.—APP
