NAWABSHAH, Aug 6: Leaders of the People’s Party Parliamentarians from Nawabshah have warned of hunger strike and blocking of the National Highway if victimization of ADP candidates by the Sindh government is not stopped.

Speaking at a press conference along with ADP candidates here on Saturday, MNA Dr Azra Pechuho, MNA Ghulam Mustafa Shah, MPA Ahmed Jalbani, MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio and district general secretary PPP Imdad Dhamrah accused Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim and political adviser Ghulam Rasool Unnar of victimizing ADP candidates.

They said fake FIRs of water theft were lodged against Abdul Haq Jamali, Bachal Jamali, Syed Iftikhar Shar, Zakir Zardari, Khadim Zardari, Raza Mohammad Zardari and Mohammad Ayub Rind.

They said houses of Shabbir Magsi and Mumtaz Khero were demolished and many candidates were being continuously harassed and pressurized to change their loyalty. They said the candidates were being kidnapped through police and forced to change their loyalty.

They said many officials, including DPOs and TPOs of Daur, Saddar and Sakrand, the SP of investigation, the TPO of headquarters and the SHO of the A-section police station were transferred and posted despite ban by the Election Commission.

They said many government officials who were relatives of candidates including Dr Doulat Jamali, Dr Mashooq Gorchani, Ayub Rind, Hameed Jamali, Zulfiqar Rind and Jabbar Magsi were suspended and transferred just to pressurize candidates of the ADP.

MNA Ghulam Mustafa Shah said he was offered the seat of district nazim if he joined the PML.

They demanded that the chief election commissioner should take notice and warned to go to courts for justice for the victimization of candidates.
