Rs6.2 million theft in jewellery shop

NAROWAL, Aug 6: Thieves took away Rs6.2 million in cash and gold ornaments from a jewellery shop here on Friday night. The thieves broke into the shop of Haji Bashir, a few metres away from the city police station, and made off with foreign currency and gold ornaments.

Later, traders took out a procession and chanted slogans against the police. They also announced to observe a strike against the incident.
