THATTA, Aug 6: A seminar on breast-feeding has recommended that the government should discourage advertisement of dry-packed milk through print and electric media. The seminar was organized by the Health and Nutrition Development Society, the district population welfare office and the district health department at Punhal Jamali village of Jherruk here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, District Population Officer Ajmal Memon, Azra Kashigar, Mustafa Zaur, Rizwana Palijo and Dr Shabana Qureshi said the prevailing ratio of breast feeding in the world was 43 per cent.

The speakers said the process of breast-feeding help in stoppage of bleeding after delivery.

They said the health education in the far-flung rural areas had become vital to eliminate health relevant post and parental delivery problems.
