BANNU, Aug 4: A top agriculturist has called for greater efforts to enhance per acre yield through the sustained use of modern technology. Amir Muhammad Durrani told a one-day agriculture workshop in Zakir Khel on Thursday that it was important for farmers to use all available resources to enhance per acre yield of various agricultural products.

The workshop was held under the auspices of Serai Norang Agri Research Station here.

Mr Durrani urged the farmers to use latest methods of cultivation and regularly consult experts of agriculture for a better yield.

Mohammad Sadiq, head of the agri research station, briefed the participants of the workshop on safe storage of cereals and pests control. —APP
